Karbonn has unveiled a new Ice Cream Sandwich running tablet, called the Smart Tab 1. This latest tablet by Karbonn will be powered by a 1.2 GHz processor and will be another one in the low budget Android tablet segment. Here's what the spec sheet for the Smart Tab 1 looks like:

From the looks of it, the Smart Tab 1 will directly compete with Micromax's Funbook which we will be reviewing shortly. Along with this tablet, according to our sources, Karbonn is planning to launch two new budget Android smartphones, the A7 and the A9. Both the phones will be dual SIM, will run on Gingerbread 2.3.6 and will be powered by a 1 GHz processor. The main difference between the two phones will be that the A7 will have a 2.8-inch screen while the A9 will have a bigger 3.8-inch screen. Pricing and availability for the Smart Tab 1 haven’t been revealed as of now, but considering it’s up on the home site, the product will be on shelves in the coming week or two.
