Nokia Lumia 710 available for approximately Rs.15,700
The Nokia Lumia 710 was announced with the Lumia 800 and this is one of the first handsets from Nokia’s stable to feature the Windows Phone 7 operating system. At the time of launch, this handset was priced at Rs.18,999, giving many consumers the feeling that it was highly priced. A few days ago, the handset became available on an online store, Saholic for Rs.18,093. In what appears like really good news for potential consumers of the product, the Lumia 710 is now available on websites such as Flipkart, Letsbuy as well as with a few local resellers for as low as Rs.15,490.

The Lumia 710 is available through these sites with a bill as well as a warranty of twelve months. However, when we contacted Nokia, they said that there had been no change in the handset's pricing, and that the handset has been officially retailing for Rs. 17,999. Eldar Murtazin, a tech journalist, very familiar with Nokia related products had predicted on the 17th of January, throughTwitter that the Lumia 710 would get a 20 percent price cut within a month. He states that this is going to happen as retailers state that the handset is not popular at all.
The handset has done well in our review with the design, build quality and battery faring well. The only problem with it was the limited amount of applications available for download in the market. But that is set to change as the Windows Phone 7 operating system is still in its budding stages. With the price drop, the Lumia 710 does seem like quite an attractive option for a would be consumer, that is if WP7 is their choice of operating system. We only wish the price of the Nokia Lumia 800 would have a similar 20 percent price cut, as it would definitely help in the sales of the attractive handset. Will you buy the handset now that the price has dropped? Lets us know in the comments below.
